Takko Beef & Garlic Festival

Half cow rotisserie.  The best beef!  It is so soft and tender.  And their famous garlic sauce on the side to add.  Mmmmmm
LUNCH!  It was around 11 am.  We only grilled up some of our meat and veggies.  We were gonna be there for 4 hours, didn't want to get too full.
Tons of grills set up outside and inside the "dome"

My drink #1.  This was so good!

My drink #2 Tasted like tea
 Garlic Queen and Princesses
 They were so cute!
That building was set up with many more grills and restrooms.  We had to take cover in there for a little while when it started raining.
At one point this guy was trying to walk through a door, his head wouldn't fit.  It was hilarious, the crowd loved it!
 Wolf!
 Garlic King or Takko Ouji
 I don't know these people.
 All gone
 Garlic people

 Traditional dancers
 Country Line Dancing
 The Cupid Shuffle
Ski Lodge, you can see some of the ski hills and lift in background.
There were stands selling food and souvenirs

Thought this rest stop building was interesting

800 Yen for all these fresh veggies and garlic.  :)
These garlic sauces are SO good!!!

We were really looking forward to the garlic festival this year since it was so delicious last year.  It was 2 hours away, we took the shuttle bus there.  So, we were able to bring a small cooler with a 6 pack of beer for Berto.  We also brought camping chairs since there really aren't very many seats.  This year the weather was much cooler.  I'd say we were at 70% weather.  Because it did sprinkle off and on and got rather chilly.  We had a GREAT time grilling up our food, people watching and enjoying the entertainment.
