Ramen Fest at Sky Plaza

Ramen Fest right out the gate. We tried three, this was our favorite.  Spicy Miso.  Soo delish!
"Regular" Ramen.  These were some fancy styrofoam bowls!

Chicken and Shrimp, tasty broth!

Each stand was selling ramen for 400 Yen. (USD $5.21)  They also had yakisoba and other things.  But we stuck with ramen.

We've gotten a ton of snow this weekend, they did a good job of clearing the "Fest" area.  It was mostly Japanese, hardly any Americans.  It wasn't advertised very well.  Just glad I found out about it yesterday.

Keeping the snow out!  There were heaters in there too.  The blue bucket was were you could pour your leftovers.  I bet there will be some well fed dogs tonight!

A magician inside the "Sky Plaza"

There is a cafe and pizza place inside the Sky Plaza.  For some reason we haven't gone here yet.  I thought this sign was funny.

These guys kinda freak me out.  A cross between gnomes/trolls/leprechauns.  HA!

There is a large store, they have thrift items, new items, foods and veggies.

Minnesota motor cycle plates!!!  =)

Hamburger bento!  Awesomeness!

School bus bentos.  Didn't notice Berto in the background.  Creepy eyes!  HA!

Lego container

Oreo cookie containers

Reminds me of a Lucha Libre mask!  And a panda.

This is what Berto and I would look like if we were cats!

I have a necklace in this style my sister Lisa made me.  This one was on sale for 3,500 or $45.57

The bakery/cafe

That is BACON!!

The snow accumulation from an hour!

Of course I forgot my hat in the car.  I was preoccupied with thoughts of ramen!

The second one is (antique) new. Very cheap.  I like the squatness of it!  (That IS a word, people!)  Reminds me of a little boy taking a bath in a bucket.  Can you picture it?

Jewelry box I got a while back.  Finally have everything cleaned and organized.

I told Berto that I HAD to have it.  I needed somewhere to store my tiara!  ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We went to a New year's Eve party on base at the E-Club.  They had bingo, prizes, a comedian, tons of food.  It was a 70's & 80's theme with costume prizes.  A band and DJ.  Different rooms with entertainment.  Champagne toast, then a breakfast buffet.  It was a lot of fun, too bad we didn't win anything.

You can kind of see my purse on the right side.  It's shaped like a Chinese food carton with wooden handle.  It was a present from my sister, Lisa, from years ago.

My fancy scarf  X-mas present from my M-O-M

Berto being silly
Me making a weird snarl face.  Is snarl face a word?

He let his scruff grow in while on leave.  I told him I was gonna use eyeliner and line up where a beard should grown in.  Since his doesn't connect.  HA!

I LOVE my hubby!!!

We had a great night!!!

You could get a dvd with music and video.  I had to BEG hubby to do this, since he was embarrassed.  But he was so good at it!  He made the best faces, and the video was funny.  I kept ruining it by laughing, though.

We went to a shrine to bring in the New Year.  The Japanese are very big on doing this, usually at midnight.  We were there at about 2 am.  Still lots of people.

Happy New Year!!!!

Christmas Eve

Spring rolls, bacon wrapped asparagus and chicken yakitori

Delicious sashimi

Japanese seating, but a cutout for your legs.  There was also heaters down there.  I always forget to get pictures of us, or have Berto take a pic of me.  Sorry.

Ohashi's

Looking at the Christmas lights.  This is right out the Base Gate.

I wish I could say this was me and Berto.  Ooops, no pictures.

We had a great Christmas!!  My M-O-M should be proud that we managed NOT to open any of our presents early.  We did open them on Christmas Eve though.  But, I knew I was getting some clothes and wanted something new to wear for dinner.  That was my reasoning anyway!  =)

Thank you SO much to my familia!  We loved everything!  Thank you to the Koldens, Tauers, Reyes' and Hulletts.  You guys ROCK!!!!  Love you!!!

Random stuff

Yen 42,000= USD $546.97  I've never heard of this Patron before.  I understand why.

This one is equivalent to $830.88!!  Sheeesh!

Fanciest tequila I've ever seen!  Couldn't find a price.

We found this awesome fort at a thrift store.  Berto didn't go in with me, I took a pic of it and showed him when I got to the car.  He liked it!  I wasn't expecting us to get it.  He sent me back in to see if they delivered. they did!  We got it a few hours later.

We say this was an early Christmas present and birthday present for them. They were adopted on Jan 7th, also my M-O-M's b-day.

I LOVE my fur babies!!!

This came with extra pieces and can be held with pipes to secure to the ceiling.  It can be put together in 3 different ways.  We have it now more folded up.  They love it!
We stopped in, it was a cafe and shop.  Most random stuff in there!

Another Harley shop.  This is 2 that we've seen here.

Fantasy Dome Mall.  This area is where you can get some crazy pictures taken.  I want to try to figure it our sometime.

This machine would put a face on a keychain.  You put in your memory card from camera.  DAMN!  Too bad I didn't have James' picture.  I would have loved that.

Soo many games!

Japanese game of "Life"

Bought this beauty at a thift shop.  It is awesome!  Super heavy.
